Sushant Singh Rajput is an Indian model and actor. Who mainly works in Hindi films and television. He was born on 21st January 1986 in Patna, Bihar. He is brought up in Rajput Family. His father Mr. K.K. Singh was Engineer and his mother’s house maker. He has an elder sister Shweta Singh Kriti. His family moved to Delhi from Patna. After the sad demised of his mother due to cancer. He did his schooling from St. Karen’s High School in Patna and Kulachi Hansraj Model School in New Delhi. He is a very bright student in school and college, He secured 7 ranks in DCE Entrance Exam and He took admission in Delhi College Engineering for Mechanical Engineering. He also won National Olympiad in physics. During his college days, he used to perform in Shiamak Davar Dance Show. He also did act in Barry John Play. He dropped out Engineering in the final years and moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream. He Joined Nadira Babbar’s Ekjute Theatre Group.

While, Doing a Play in Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai. One of Balaji Telefilms members saw his performance and called him for the audition. He made his acting debut from Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil in 2008, He played supporting role in this serial. He received national fame and popularity from Ekta Kapoor’s serial called Pavitra Rishta. this serial becomes a huge hit at that time. He Played Manav Deshmukh a Marathi guy role. His performance was highly appreciated by the audience and critics. He won Best Actor in a Lead Role award in Boroplus Gold Awards. He was also Contestant in Zara Nachke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4 and he was runner up of this Season.

He made his Bollywood debut from Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che which based on Chetan bhagat’s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life. this movie got a very good review from critics and did well in the box office. Sushant acting was highly appreciated by critics and audiences. He won Best Male Debut award in Screen Awards. He also nominated in Zee Cine Awards, Filmfare Awards in Best Male Debut category. Later he has done Shuddh Desi Romance movie under Yash Raj Films banner. He was also done a short role in Rajkumar Hirani’s PK movie alongside Anushka Sharma and Amir Khan. Later ha starred Neeraj Pandey’s M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story a biographical film based on Indian cricket team former skipper M.S. Dhoni. This movie becomes the biggest commercial hit at that time. this movie made Sushant Singh a Bollywood Star. He took professional cricket training for this movie. He won the best actor award in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for M.S. Dhoni. Later he has done many notable movies including Dinesh VIjan’s Raabta, Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore, etc. He currently working on Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara, Which is an official remake of The Fault in Our Stars Hollywood movie. As being physics topper he has a keen interest in Space, Galaxy and Universe.
