Shreya Ghoshal is a leading Indian Playback singer. She is most awards winning Playback Singer in Indian Cinema. She was born in Berhampore, West Bengal, India in Bengali Family, But She brought up in Kota, Rajasthan. Due to her father’s Job, they moved to Rajasthan. her father Bishwajit Ghoshal is electrical engineer in Nuclear Power Corporation of India in Rawatbhata. Her mother Sarmistha Ghoshal is literature and housewife. She did her schooling from Atomic Energy Central School in Rawatbhata. She completed her graduation from SIES College, Mumbai.
She started taking music lessons at the age of four. She took her classical singing lessons from Late Kalyanji Virji Shah and Late Mukta Bhide. During her schooling days, She won the All India Light Vocal Music Competition in New Delhi in 1995. Her music Journey starts from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Where she Participated as Contestant in 2000. She is the winner of this season. and Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali noticed her talent and gave her Bollywood break as Playback singer from movie Devdas. She won 50th National Film Awards for Best Female Playback Singer for Bairi Piya. She also won Filmfare Awards in New Music Talent and Best Female Playback Category. She becomes one of the famous and most listened Playback Singer in Bollywood.
Later She gave voice as Playback Singer in various Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu. She is a ten-time winner of South Filmfare Awards.
