Mukta Barve is an Indian Actress and Producer. Who Mainly Appears in Marathi films and Television. She is well known for her successful movie series Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai. She was born in Chinchwad, Maharashtra, India. Her father Vasant Barve was government servant was worked in Telecom company and Her mother Vijaya Barve was a school teacher. She did her college from Sir Parashurambhau College in Pune and he completed her degree in Theatre from Savitribai Phule Pune University. During her school day, she used to do participate in Play and School Various Function.

She made her acting debut from Marathi Play Ghar Tighancha Hava. She also did Aamhala Vegle Vhayache Marathi play in 2001. She made her Television debut from Zee Marathi’s Ghadlay Bighadlay Serial in 1998. She played a small role of Champa is this serial. Later She appeared many serials Including Pimpal Paan, Bandhan, Abhalmaya, Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre, etc as Supporting Role. She roped as the lead role in Etv’s Agnishikha Marathi Serial with Subodh Bhave and Sai Tamhankar in 2006. She made her movie debut from Chakwa Marathi movie in 2004. Later She has done Cameo and Supporting Roles in Various Movies Including Shevri, Maati Maay, De Dhakka, Saas Bahu Aur Sensex, Etc. She roped as the lead actress in Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad movie with Ashok Saraf. She Played Ashok Saraf Daughter Role. But She received National Popularity and Fame from Rajiv Patil’s Jogwa movie. This movie becomes a commercial hit. This movie won five National Film Awards. Her Performance was Highly appreciated by Audience and Critics. She won Best Actress awards in Maharashtra State Film Awards and Sanskruti Kaladarpan Awards. Later She gave many hit movies including Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai, Double Seat, Hrudayantar, etc. She made her Digital debut from Devi Short Film in 2020. She also owns a Production house named Rasika Productions, Under this banner, she produced Chhapa Kata, Rang Nava, Sakharam Binder, etc Marathi Plays. She is one of the talented actresses in Marathi cinema.
